My First Day

On my first day of Burnham Park Academy I was very excited to be going into such a wonderful school, but at the same time I was a little nervous as well because it was my first day in secondary school.

I had to wake up very early to get ready and leave on time but instead of walking my mum dropped me off so I went into school being as confident as I would ever be.  I went in and I met all the pupils in my form there is Paris, Abigail, Riley, Eddie and many more.

Soon after that we went into our form room 52.  Our form tutor is called Mr Lorenz, he is Canadian, and we spent most of the day with him, but before that we had a wonderful assembly with our head of year Mrs Mulhern.  She spoke to us about all of the school rules. There was only one surprisingly from Mr Chaaban “If a teacher asks you to do something and you think it unfair tell me, Mrs Mulhern or your form tutor.”

When the assembly had finished we went back to our form and our planners had arrived so we were able to stick our timetables in.

Soon after it was break time so I played with Grace, Amanda, and Sukmani.  Break was nearly over so we went back to form and Mr Lorenz told us we were doing to play some fun games so we did.  Time flew by because we were having such fun—hooray it was lunch time!  I had a tuna sandwich it was delicious.

When lunch had finished we went to our first proper lesson which was Geography with Mr Liu.  He is really fun and after 50 minutes the bell rang so it was time to move on to our next lesson which was History with Mrs Johnson.  This was also very good fun.

Before we knew it, it was home time.  I had a fantastic first day at Burnham Park Academy although there is a lot of homework to be done but it’s easy (so far).

Then it was home time so I started walking home with my sister and as soon as my mum got home I told her all about my day.  It felt like I was talking forever and each day has carried on being brilliant and that brings us to today.

Thank you Mr Chaaban for letting me come to your wonderful school.
